Atlantic City Senior Services proudly provided essential transportation for our Seniors to stock up on winter supplies, thanks to the support of Mayor Marty Small Sr. and our dedicated team. With the help of Damon Toombs ensuring safe travels, our residents were well-prepared for the season. A true community effort—Can we say Great Day!

On January 01, Atlantic City Youth Services celebrated the season with its first annual Winter Wonderland Festival, making it truly “the most WONDERFUL time of the year!” The event brought together community members for a joyous day filled with festive cheer, exciting activities, and unforgettable moments.

The City of Atlantic City celebrated the remarkable achievements of 36 young participants in the ONE Neighborhood Evolution (O.N.E.) Anti-Violence Youth Program during a heartfelt ceremony at the All Wars Memorial Building. The program, designed to equip youth with job opportunities and essential work training, aims to empower participants with skills to build brighter futures and access greater opportunities. The O.N.E. Neighborhood Evolution initiative operates under the City of Atlantic City’s Health and Human Services Department. Assistant Director Mona Tally joined the Anti-Violence team to honor the program’s participants, emphasizing the City's dedication to supporting its youth. Under the leadership of the Small Administration, the City remains steadfast in its commitment to providing every resource necessary—whether through programming, equipment, or transportation—to ensure the success of Atlantic City's young people.‍

Congratulations to the graduates of the Intro to Basic Spanish course, a highlight of the City of Atlantic City’s Multicultural Services in 2024! This popular, free course has helped residents build language skills and foster connections within the city’s diverse community. The program reflects the city’s commitment to empowering residents and strengthening community bonds. With 2025 approaching, we look forward to more innovative programs to help Atlantic City grow and thrive.

In the true spirit of the holiday season, the Atlantic City Senior Services Division, in partnership with the City’s CDBG Office, hosted its second annual Food Box Giveaway. This event provided 500 pre-registered residents with turkeys, hams, and all the festive trimmings for a holiday feast. Additionally, the Senior Services Division, with support from the city’s homeless outreach team, delivered 500 hot meals to senior living facilities, generously donated by Kelsey’s Atlantic City. This initiative highlights the city's commitment to supporting residents and fostering a sense of community care during the holidays.

As we prepare for the New Year, Atlantic City Recreation proudly recognizes the outstanding contributions of our 2024 Staff Members of the Year. Sakiyah ‘Noonie’ Quick has been named Full-Time Staff Member of the Year for her exceptional dedication, while Efrain ‘Cookie’ Morales earns the title of Part-Time Staff Member of the Year for his remarkable work ethic. These two individuals embody the spirit of excellence, and we are grateful for their impact on our community.

On December 24, ACYS had the distinct honor of being the first group to board the city’s newly unveiled charter bus, aptly named the “Great Day” Express. This milestone event marked the beginning of an unforgettable journey to Big SNOW American Dream, located in the iconic American Dream Mall.

The City of Atlantic City's Recreation Department, or AC Rec, brought the excitement to the Wells Fargo Center for a thrilling night of basketball, cheering on the Philadelphia Sixers. With high energy and team spirit, AC Rec made their presence felt at one of the NBA’s most iconic arenas.
