Atlantic City's ‘Second Bridge’ in Venice Park Reopens Ahead of Schedule, Marking a Major Milestone for the Community

The Ohio Avenue "Second Bridge" in Atlantic City's Venice Park neighborhood reopened ahead of schedule, bringing relief to residents. The $6.85 million reconstruction project, which started in 2023, rebuilt the aging bridge and included a bike lane and new sidewalks, all funded by American Rescue Plan funds and NJDOT. Mayor Marty Small and City Engineer Uzo Ahiarakwe praised the project’s success, completed under budget and ahead of time, improving local infrastructure for years to come.
