Everyone boarded the Great Day Bus with excitement, knowing they were in for an unforgettable adventure. From the lively chatter on the way to the Reading Terminal to the joy of exploring the market’s many wonders, it was a day full of laughter, discovery, and shared moments of happiness.

The Raising Kings and Queens Program, launched by Atlantic City’s Reentry Services, celebrated its first cohort of graduates on February 6, 2025, in a heartfelt luncheon. Participants, ages 14-18, engaged in mentorship, etiquette training, and hands-on experiences over the course of 10 weeks, gaining essential life skills for their future. With the support of community leaders like Mayor Marty Small and Director Kamau Johnson, the program has proven to be a stepping stone to a brighter, more empowered future for Atlantic City's youth.

Yesterday, the first day of our Crochet class was a hit! The ladies had a ‘great time’ learning new techniques, and many are already excited to return. Though there’s a waiting list, we’d love for you to sign up and join us next time!

Today, we had the honor of celebrating Black History Month with Atlantic City seniors at ACT, where they created beautiful artwork that reflected the richness of Black culture. It was a meaningful and creative event that brought our community together in a vibrant celebration of history.

The Philadelphia 76ers honored the Atlantic City Recreation division at the Wells Fargo Center for their dedication to the community, spotlighting their ongoing efforts to provide youth with memorable experiences, including attending 76ers games.

The Vikings Football team was honored at City Council last night for their impressive 2024 season, with AC Rec also receiving a plaque for their ongoing support of the team and Atlantic City youth.
