In a heartwarming ceremony at the Atlantic City High School Media Center, four talented football players proudly announced their plans to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. The event was filled with excitement, as students, staff, and family members gathered to celebrate this remarkable achievement. Donald Harris, Director of Secondary Education for Atlantic City Public Schools, acknowledged the hard work, determination, and perseverance that these students had demonstrated, both on the field and in the classroom.
Atlantic City Football Head Coach Keenan Wright expressed his pride in the accomplishments of these athletes, particularly highlighting that five players from the team will soon be competing at the next level. Each of the students has maintained a grade point average above 3.0, which has opened doors to numerous college opportunities. As Wright noted, "When I speak about these players, it’s about grades first," emphasizing the importance of their academic achievements.
The players moving forward to the next phase of their athletic careers are Zephaniah Bradley-Brown, Khajuan Roseborough, Walid Rhodes, and Jeremiah Williams. Bradley-Brown and Roseborough will attend West Chester University, with Bradley-Brown pursuing business and Roseborough connecting with the coaching staff and feeling right at home. Rhodes will be attending Montclair State University, drawn to the campus and the hospitality of the coaches, while Williams will be joining Rowan University’s football program, choosing it for its proximity to home and the modern campus.
Superintendent Dr. La’Quetta S. Small expressed her pride in these students, wishing them success in their future endeavors, and reminding them always to carry the Viking Pride with them.
