Atlantic City Celebrates Black History Month with a Special Movie Event

By:

In honor of Black History Month, Atlantic City Senior Services, the City of Atlantic City Multicultural Services, and the dedicated staff at AC PAL came together to present a special Day at the Movies. The event featured a screening of the inspiring film Six Triple Eight on the big screen, providing both entertainment and education on the remarkable contributions of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion during World War II.

Guests enjoyed a memorable cinematic experience, complete with delicious movie snacks to enhance the fun. The collaboration between the community organizations made for a heartwarming event, highlighting the importance of unity and cultural celebration. By sharing this film, attendees were able to reflect on the history and impact of African American women in the military, while also fostering connections and creating lasting memories.

The event was a beautiful reminder of the power of storytelling, community, and coming together to honor Black History Month.
