Wellness Fair Empowers Atlantic City Residents with Vital Resources and Support

Reentry Services and Homeless Prevention came together to host a “Wellness Fair” that offered essential resources to residents of Atlantic City, marking a significant milestone in supporting the local community. This impactful event served as a hub of support for over 180 residents, who received much-needed assistance in a variety of forms, from clothing and food to personal hygiene items.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Department of Health & Human Services, Volunteers of America, Operation Rise, and the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, we were able to provide over 1,500 articles of clothing, food, hygiene kits, and personal items. This generosity helped address some of the most pressing needs within the community, offering individuals and families the chance to access resources that are often difficult to come by.

The event was designed not only to provide immediate relief but to raise awareness of the ongoing support available to Atlantic City residents. By offering a space where people could come together and receive both practical resources and emotional support, the Wellness Fair helped to foster a sense of community and resilience.

The event was made possible by the tireless efforts of volunteers, social workers, and local organizations who came together to ensure that every resident was served with care and dignity. It was a shining example of the power of collaboration in addressing the needs of vulnerable populations and creating a stronger, more unified community.
