Due to Monday's forecast, the NAACP Atlantic City Branch made the decision to cancel the MLK Walk that was planned for the morning. Despite the change in plans, the community came together to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at a moving indoor service held at St. James AME Church (101 N. New York Avenue) at 12:00 PM.
The service provided a meaningful opportunity for reflection, unity, and celebration of Dr. King's vision of equality, justice, and peace. Attendees gathered to hear inspiring messages, join in prayer, and remember the profound impact Dr. King had on the fight for civil rights.
Thank you to all who joined and showed their commitment to keeping Dr. King's dream alive. While the walk couldn’t take place, the spirit of the day remained strong through this beautiful celebration of his legacy.
