The second 12-week Sewing Club officially kicked off, welcoming eager participants ready to learn and create. Led by the incredibly talented Khadijah Wright, this program brought together seniors excited to develop new skills and embrace their creative sides.
Both cohorts — meeting on Monday nights and Wednesday nights — began their journey with enthusiasm, imagining all the unique projects they could bring to life. From basic stitches to more advanced techniques, the class provided a space for seniors to imagine and create in ways they never thought possible.
The program proved that you’re never too young to learn new skills, fostering an uplifting and supportive environment where participants felt empowered to take on a new craft. Whether sewing for fun, for practical use, or to create gifts for loved ones, each attendee brought their own inspiration and ideas to the table.
Atlantic City Senior Services remains dedicated to providing programs that encourage lifelong learning and creativity, showing that growth and exploration have no age limit.
