To close out Black History Month, we took the Great Day Express to the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP) for an unforgettable experience exploring two powerful exhibitions.
Audacious Freedom offers a deep dive into the lives and contributions of African Americans in Philadelphia from 1776-1876. Through interactive timelines and storytelling, we learned about trailblazers like Octavius Catto and Richard Allen, whose legacies continue to shape history.
Shared Vision presents a breathtaking collection of 40 portraits from CCH Pounder’s personal collection. This exhibition celebrates Black identity, beauty, and power through contemporary art, providing a striking visual narrative of resilience and creativity.
This visit was a meaningful way to reflect, learn, and celebrate Black history and culture. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey. Take a look at some of our favorite moments from the day.
