March marked Women’s History Month and Youth Art Month, and to celebrate, we highlighted murals in Atlantic City created by women artists and those featuring youth collaborations.
One standout piece was "You Make the World a Better Place", a vibrant mural by Chanelle René in collaboration with youth artists from Mighty Writers. Students in grades 1-4 contributed their creativity, helping to develop the concept and paint the mural in-studio. Their vision came to life with installation support from Johnny Dreamawake, making this a true community effort.
Now, this inspiring mural brightens the walls of Cali’s General Store in Chelsea, spreading a message of positivity and artistic expression. Thanks to funding from Chelsea EDC, this project not only added beauty to the city but also empowered young artists to leave their mark.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in this meaningful collaboration!
