Cultivating Growth: Atlantic City Seniors Enjoyed a Seed Planting Workshop

Yesterday, the seniors at Atlantic City Senior Services participated in a Seed Planting Workshop, where they engaged in a hands-on and creative gardening experience. The event provided an opportunity for them to learn about seed starting, plant care, and the joy of growing their own food.

Each participant painted their own plant pots before planting basil and spinach seeds, which they took home to nurture and grow. In addition to their newly planted seeds, they received bags containing Cubanelle peppers, kale seeds, and lettuce seeds to further expand their home gardens.

Adding to the excitement, a raffle was held, where two lucky seniors won special prizes: a Nutribullet blender and a DIY microgreens home growing kit. These prizes encouraged healthy living and continued gardening at home.

The workshop was a wonderful way to bring the community together, fostering a love for gardening while promoting wellness and sustainability. Seeing the enthusiasm and engagement of our seniors made the event even more special.
