City of Atlantic City Celebrates Promotions of Ten First Responders

A round of applause for the ten Atlantic City first responders recently promoted to supervisory roles! In a special ceremony held at City Hall, Chief Sarkos of the Atlantic City Police Department and Chief Evans of the Atlantic City Fire Department announced these well-deserved promotions, joined by Mayor Marty Small Sr., who administered the oaths of office.

“This was a long time coming, but we’re here, and we wanted to do it for the holidays,” Mayor Small shared during the celebration, emphasizing the significance of recognizing the hard work and dedication of these outstanding individuals.

The newly promoted first responders include:

  • Michael Logan, promoted to ACFD Captain
  • Avette Harper, James Herbert, Thomas Moynihan, and Craig Mulhern, promoted to ACPD Lieutenants
  • James Barrett, Brian Hambrecht, George Mancuso, Ann McGlynn, and Timothy Richvalsky, promoted to ACPD Sergeants

These promotions reflect Mayor Small's commitment to prioritizing public safety in Atlantic City. With their exceptional leadership and service, these first responders ensure that residents, businesses, and visitors remain in capable hands for years to come. Congratulations to all!
