Bringing Health to the Heart of the Community: Baltic Plaza Health Fair Recap

By:
Elizabeth Trigg

The City of Atlantic City Multicultural Services hosted a successful Community Health Fair at Baltic Plaza, where residents gathered for a day dedicated to wellness, connection, and empowerment. The event aimed to bring vital health resources directly to the community in an accessible and supportive setting.

A wide range of services and information were provided thanks to the collaboration with AtlantiCare, Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc., and the Cape Atlantic Coalition for Health. These partners played a key role in delivering on-site screenings, health education, and personalized guidance to attendees of all ages.

Residents had the opportunity to speak directly with healthcare professionals, learn about preventative care, and receive materials on maintaining long-term wellness. The fair fostered a welcoming atmosphere where people felt seen, heard, and cared for—underscoring the importance of community-driven public health efforts.

The event also created space for conversations around health equity and access, aligning with the City’s mission to make wellness resources more inclusive and available to all Atlantic City residents.

By the end of the day, new relationships were formed, knowledge was shared, and a stronger sense of community health was established. It was a powerful reminder that public health is most impactful when it meets people where they are.
