Last week, the Atlantic City Fire Department (ACFD) celebrated the graduation of four dedicated recruits—Marcus Holmes, Riley Howat, Sean Thompson, and Dontra Whitaker—who successfully completed their rigorous twelve-week training at the Anthony ‘Tony’ Canale Fire Training Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
The graduation ceremony took place in the City Hall Council Chambers, where Mayor Marty Small, Sr. administered the oath of office. The event was attended by ACFD Chief Scott Evans, City Council President Aaron ‘Sporty’ Randolph, and Vice President Kaleem Shabazz, who praised the recruits for their commitment to public safety and service.
This marked the third recruit graduation for the department this year, highlighting the ACFD’s continued efforts to strengthen its team and ensure the safety of Atlantic City residents.
We wish the new firefighters the best as they begin their careers, serving our community with bravery and excellence.
