Last week, Atlantic City High School celebrated International Mother Language Day, highlighting the rich diversity of languages spoken within its community. With an impressive 41 languages and dialects represented at ACHS, the event served as a powerful reminder of the cultural heritage that unites its students.
A special thanks was extended to the dedicated presenters who played a crucial role in making the event a success. Dorothy Adu-Pomaa ’26, Tawsif Azmain ’28, Lesly Lopez ’25, Farhan Mizba ’26, Josh Sorto-Ramos ’25, and Bao Tran ’28 each contributed by sharing their unique linguistic and cultural backgrounds, enriching the experience for all attendees.
The celebration showcased the importance of preserving and appreciating one's native language while fostering a deeper sense of unity and inclusion within the school. Students and faculty alike engaged in discussions, presentations, and activities that emphasized the significance of multilingualism in today’s world.
