This February, in honor of Black History Month, the Office of Multicultural Services has teamed up with Atlantic City Senior Services to present a special screening of The Six Triple Eight—the inspiring true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the first and only all-Black, all-female battalion to serve overseas during World War II.
Who: The Office of Multicultural Services and Atlantic City Senior Services.
What: A film screening of The Six Triple Eight, telling the story of the first all-Black, all-female battalion to serve overseas in WWII.
When: Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, with screenings at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Where: Police Athletic League (PAL) Building, located at 250 N New York Ave.
Why: To honor the powerful legacy of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion during Black History Month and celebrate their remarkable contributions.
